THE WORLD OF HEALTH CARE
Talk Different meets the needs expressed and identified by the health authorities (ANESM** recommendations, April 2013).
After meeting entrepreneurs and company managers working in the world of industry, health or disability, and being told that the concept was brilliant, that there was a genuine need for this kind of application and an explicit demand from Health and Deficiency stakeholders, Marie Spitz decided to draft the application’s specs and kick-off development in 2013! Marie Spitz is also involved in various associations and global disability organizations. For the past ten years, Marie has been President (and Founding Member) of « Cap TED », a French non-profit association (under the law of 1901) for Autism Spectrum Disorders. This association brings together health professionals, families and patients affected by autisms with or without intellectual deficiency.
The app has been enhanced with various modules, in particular “Medical Procedures” that have been translated into “illustrated Picture Phrases***” to prepare:
People with phobias
Illiterate or foreign people
for medical procedures they may face (blood test, scan, operation, dental treatment, trip to A&E, pain scales…).
